I don't mean to be flippant because I am not been flippant, however if you have the cheque I don't think there is much you can do other than bank it and buy back in! The post dated cheque is a bit strange I must say.
Otherwise contact the company or the registry and you can discuss with them, but announcements were made to the ASX about the plan and I believe a letter was sent to impacted holders.
