Totally agree. A cherry-picked lepidolite sample in a batch of very low grade rock chip samples. No mention of the mineralogy of the other samples either, was there any spodumene seen? Still, it's a smoke signal. There may be fire nearby.
Lepidico are trying to get there new tech up and running for processing lepidolite, and as @Black Cat has pointed out the Chinese are extracting lithium from lepidolite. Nobody is doing it in Australia though, from my limited research on it anyway. But hey, if the lithium price stays strong/ gets stronger, then this may work here too. Or just send off a mica concentrate for processing in China, big purple piles in the ports will look good amidst the other ore piles.
