Yes the pegmatites were intercepted when the former project owner was drilling gold. These cores were basically left in storage on site as lithium wasn't a useful metal back when they were drilling.

When Kidman Resources acquired the project they started looking into the lithium potential and realised how mineralised the cores were (which were conveniently left in a storage shed on site) and they started assaying them.

I think you need to get the story right.

You can get a general gist by going back through the old Kidman Resources threads in early/mid 2016.

The broker note seems to suggest it was the soil anomaly that led to the discovery, which is different to finding cores in a shed.
