And can I assume that The West added in DDH1 guidance less an allowance for depreciation?
You have the advantage over me- do not read The West myself- modern kitty litter can function quite well without newspaper.
Gives you the idea though- the amount of reading and rereading that a mug retail punter like myself has to do to work out a simple question like- has profit gone up or has it gone down? Finance journalists do hardly much better, IMHO. Then every ASX announcement is written like it is tidings of great joy- like the beginning of Futurama, "Good news everybody..."
I try not to buy on announcements that look like good news- tend to wait for the lower price and a better idea on the real meaning of an announcement. If I miss out then too bad.
But, for all that, I do enjoy this investment caper.
