Cobalt is an element that can sometimes be associated with IOGC deposits. While not always a major component, it can be economically important if present in sufficient concentrations. RNX will likely be assaying for cobalt because:

• Exploration vector: The presence of cobalt could be an indicator of a larger IOGC system, which could host additional copper and gold mineralization. Cobalt is a pathfinder element for the target mineralization at Mongoose Deeps. Pathfinder elements are those that often concentrate around the main ore zone and can guide drilling towards the economic deposit.
