IMHO we need to change the nature of markets, there has to be a greater focus on long terms gains rather than short term spikes. The government also needs to encourage long term investment in Australian companies, especially in this current climate.
For instance, if you have holder of a company for 3 years+ you pay nil tax. Hopefully this might change the mindset of many to "investing" rather than simply trading and manipulating for a quick profit.
Lastly, I think directors get paid way too much in so far as remuneration and performance options and us as shareholders are way too soft on them and ultimately let them get away with it.
