I am banking on Trump getting a good deal with China to save our bull market. Otherwise we are in for a rough time especially if Shorty gets into the Lodge.
You may have a look at what a side tactic that I use. I have a lot of blue chip and not may spec stocks other than CKA, QHL and QUB. Other than that I buy and sell GEAR which is a geared etf over the ASX200. It is geared about 60% borrowed, so if market moves up 4%, I get 10%. I also get 2.5 times the dividend and 2.5 times the franking credits.
So I buy and sell about 4 times a year (doing it since 2014). Never ever sold for a loss. I also have never picked the bottom or top of the market for selling.
So last sell 8,000 @ $24 or so in Sept. Buy $18 November. And now about $23.8
