Because perhaps the stock is that absurdly underpriced by its history and indeed this deal, present non-holders need to buy in quickly to be able to take up the offer.
It has a very short run date for an entitlement offer form announcement as it trades "ex-entitlement" on 15 March!! Literally non-holders had today and tomorrow to be able to buy more cheap shares via the deal.
