Could it be that short sellers were too nervous to hold the stock when it entered its deferred settlement stage - hence the sell off on Friday. This may have pushed the SP down from 38c to 36c.
Monday comes on the back of stronger energy prices over the weekend.
If we consider that in the "normal" course of business, the SP rise was really from 38c to 39.5c, it doesn't seem so strange ....
