AMP is the stock, whereas AMPPA is a capital note issued by the company as an unsecured investment. Basically, AMP issued Capital notes, you purchase these for a fixed period and you are effectively providing AMP with an unsecured loan that they then pay you an interest rate in return till the notes mature and then you receive your principal investment back.
