I bought in 2012 and sold off half in 2013 to hold the remainder freehold. By far my most rewarding stock. It was not as though the potential was not evident. I bought initially because research showed that the metrics indicated the potential. They were highly cash positive with no borrowings and high returns at a time when a lot of companies were either plateauing or struggling. The problem facing the investor was that they had such a share price trajectory that you were literally always buying at their highs and that scares a few off. I bought at the recent lows in March simply because the history of this stock is such that there are so few opportunities to buy in at a low. This type of history is obviously not sustainable but there is nothing on the horizon saying that it is vulnerable yet. Thanks Klogg for coming up with the figures for 10 years - as you say it takes some beating.
