I’ve held this for 16 years from the 11c days, participating in the DRP every year. Something I’ve noticed the last few years is a push down after the DRP is announced. (Other factors notwithstanding) Below I’ve black arrowed the date the DRP announcement came out (among others) and the green arrowed the start of the calculation period. The lower the price the more shares in the DRP. Say you have 10,000 shares, total dividend DRP is calculated on is $80 (10,000 x .008) At black arrow price of say 75c (weighted period average) you would only get 112 shares. ($80 divided by (75c - 5%)). At today’s price of 53.5c (say that’s the WAP) you would get 157 shares. ($80 divided by 53.5c - 5%)). Roughly 40% more. Quite significant. So IMO there may be an incentive by some to push this down as one of the factors affecting the share price. My opinion only.DYOR.
