Metrics confirms via my broker they have added in the franking credit at item 3A.1b and also item 2A.9. which is not a physical payment just a credit. It is not apparent from the ASX announcement that this is to be included at 3A.1b or 2A.9. No other company does this that I can see. Take a look at MFG recent dividend statement. The amounts declared at 2A.9 and 3A.1b (AUD 1.10100000) was the net dividend or cash payment per unit. Some of this had franking (75%) but these franking credits were not added to the net cash payment shown at item 2A.9 and 3A.1b.

However, MOT does the opposite. The following items were paid at only AUD 0.0175 per unit with the franking credit of AUD 0.0027 added in.

It is very misleading for the casual reader and also websites such as Commsec and Sharesight which assume no franking credit is added at the net payment amount. A standard needs to be established to prevent confusion.
