simple, if they have higher bad debts through loan delinquencies then profitability decreases. Unemployment will cause that, we are around or near record low bad debts. The market is saying that’s fantasy and forward looking saying this will increase as with NIM compression.
don’t get me wrong, I think anz, wbc and even NAB now are worth the risk reward at these prices. However I’ve seen this many times before and drastic fall could occur from here.
