Problem with Bitcoin is substitution, if the price goes too high people will buy 'other' crypto's thou I have heard people say Bitcoin is not a crypto. People could lose interest in it and could fad away, Gold is an element and will always be around, yes in the future they probably could manufacture it. Neither is perfect and have downsides. I wouldn't be putting gold in a trust fund for 100 years or anything like that.
