I was not happy with the merger and believe NEM got the better of NCM, however, I see NEM as having good value at this level and am accumulating, the reasons being:
1/ I think the asset sales will attract a lot of interest and catalyse NEM share price appreciation.
2/ The gold price has been slowly rising and with all that is happening on a macro level, I expect this to continue.
3/ I believe there will be synergies from this merger however, I expect they will take some time to eventuate.
IMHO
