For those brave guys last Thursday and Friday, you are very courageous to buy NEM at the historic low price. Next Monday you will get the (Dividend at US 25¢) for free plus sp increase too.
For those who want the dividend, you must report report your exemption status to US via Computershare reduce the dividend withholding tax from 30% to 15%. Then at the end of the third year, you have to do it again in order to get this exemption status.
This applies to both personal and super fund. These forms are different and they can be obtained from Computershare.
If you overlook this, you will be charged 30% dividend withholding tax. Application for refund later could be messy.
