Newmont stock in the US was $41 a share in 2020 (currently $36 April 2024) when gold was US$1500 an ounce - when gold sentiment was also high with a rising gold price!
Congrats to management on offloading the Tier 2 assets, buying Goldcorp in $10 billion mega merger 2019, buying Newcrest $26 billion in 2023.
Timing off the charts now with US$2300 gold.
Junior goldies have to grow - they'll snap up those assets currently for sale.
