When the Newmont merging deal with Goldcorp in 2019 (US$10 Billion) was announced, investment bankers recognised approx US$350 million in synergies.
Team at Newmont recognised approx US$1 Billion instead.
Newmont will exceed to the upside again in my opinion with the Newcrest transaction.
