Correct. Nothing to do with CommSec, a broker. Bank account details need to be provided to the registry, viz Computer Share, including one's Tax File Number as well.
How otherwise can the divvie be paid if Comp.Share doesn't have the bank account details into which the shareholder is wanting the dividend to be paid?
