Interest rate rises mean QBE can begin to rebuild its bond ladder and earn a return on invested funds, currently making nearly nothing. I imagine they will limit securities duration to two year debt, leery of future interest rate falls after the central banks flip economies into recession.
I am convinced QBE has turned the corner after many years of struggle.
Sorry for broken-hearted long term holders.
