I think judging another’s integrity and honesty comes down to analysing their form…Have they been successful in launching other mining projects, and if so, how well did it perform ? Solid experience speaks volumes. This CEO shocked the market quite early when the project immediately started to throw up issues…head grade lower than forecast, the AISC ridiculously high…the writing was on the wall and in hindsight I for one should have stopped believing his soothing words and just sold out. I should have followed my instincts. But I wanted to believe him, and that’s the truth. Lesson is we all need to be a lot more ruthless with our investments, especially in small cap mining when so much can go wrong so fast. CEO’s need to be kept on a tight leash, and if they don’t perform their salaries and bonuses need to be severely curtailed to reflect that.
