    Why not make hydrogen gas directly from shale ??
    pump pressurised hot steam into the shale ro strip off the hydrogen from organic shale the co2 product should react with the rock and minerals and stored in there maybe even form oil.
    Not sure if it work but there is such a big deal about blue hydrogen at the moment. Just a thought.
