The Board and management team are continually reviewing and refining the Company’s capital allocation plans in the context of our rate of return and payout metrics and with reference to commodity price outlook and development costs,with the goal of maximising shareholder returns.
There is definitely two sides here.
One who thinks the buy back is a mechanism to increase SP.
The second who thinks the buy back is a mechanism to get as many shares from those weak hands as cheap as possible.
Can I just ask without fear of abuse or name calling how getting the half billion shares of the market will increase shareholder returns, especially if it is done in a way to keep the price at 015. (or as low as possible) It will increase market cap sure, and what would be in place to stop them dumping those onto the market at a later date?
Cranky yesterday but more confused by this then ever I have to admit, because I agree with ThePig on his list of reasons to be concerned,
oh and remember....no name calling!
