Not really- those loans are non-recourse to the directors. If they hand the shares back there's nothing for them to pay. If the shares go up, they're in the money of course. if they don't there's zero downside for them. Doesn't really align equally with shareholders. It's one of the few things I dislike about BRK.....I do like seeing management dip into their own pockets for equity which you don't see here
