Well, I agree with you there, but the figure was put out to show my concern that if the company fails to improve its market cap, whilst at the same time becoming more attractive on fundamental valuation, then that gap could attract opportunistic predatory bids.
I mean reducing shares on issue is one side of the value proposition, and entirely laudable, but not to the extent that it throws the baby (share price) out with the bathwater.
And what if we joint venture with Continental, then surely that would be viewed as an operational development decision and would see increased value to shareholders through an uplift in the share price rather than a capital return.
