Yes operational success and macro factors such as supportive commodity prices will impact our share price too.
No buy back will compensate for a company with poor growth prospects and weak management, neither of which we fortunately have, in fact the polar opposite.

This is demonstrated by the buy back announcement a tactic which to quote DP is " an additional string to our bow" to improve shareholder value.

Of course as of this moment we have only bought back a few million shares but the important thing is that we have got them as cheaply as possible, in fact we have succeeded in sustaining the market cap of the company at 75m dollars during this period.
At the current rate by the end of July we will have possibly accumulated 60 million shares and held the price at 1.5c, and this will be greatly applauded by us all cos it will have saved us, the shareholders, some capital.
And so, that being the case we can look back proudly and say we bought 'em cheap as chips and saved a few pennies.

What's that you say? increase shareholder value? raise our market cap to make it more attractive to a wider investment pool? close the gap between market value and intrinsic value?

No you've got it all wrong, there's still a few available at 1.5c and we won't stop until we wring that stone dry,
