I'd argue sentiment is possibly the most important factor in increasing shareholder value - current sentiment from people i know for this stock is "dogshit stock". It's one thing to pay less for shares, but it's another to miss big opportunities trying to get shares at the lowest price we've seen in years.
The 1.1c line is insulting, and gives me and many others q very negative feel and opinion of what management are doing. I've always seen management heavily criticised for this stock. Despite operational success they've failed to address one of the biggest market concerns - and that's sentiment. No one gives a f$#@ if our shares we bought for 'x' cents are now worth 9% more (at x price) when the sp is now 60% down from when they bought them.
Management making the company look worse while conducting a buyback is a negative - and the sp is reflecting that. There's no increase in value without the market actually wanting to buy your shares
