Your point 5 is ridiculous. The SP is moving lower because of oil and market sentiment and a loose register. I doubt any investor with half a brain is selling (or not buying) because of where the buyback bid sits. Seriously. If they are then they are not very knowledgeable or experienced and unlikely to be the market mover you are looking for.
And yeh 'lynch mob' was used correctly. Usually a bunch of ignorant hillbillies baying for blood for some perceived (misguided) discrepancy.
