strange that the buyback seems to now be suspended/on hold, EHL has usually undertaken past buybacks quite rapidly.
Perhaps another deal/announcement is in the works? The buyback announced in August didn't start until the recent deal with Macmahon was announced, then went for a few days and has been paused since December 27. There is still a few million $ allocated to buyback shares from the August announcement.
Shareprice is low enough to make good use of the buyback.
Doubt there is a cashflow issue as EHL has plenty of liquidity and should have been making good cashflow for the past 6 months.
Perhaps a takeover of a smaller mining equipment company is in the works or perhaps a takeover of EHL is imminent.
Won't be long until the 1H24 results are released and EHL will presumably allocate more funds to a buyback again. Results were released on 22 Feb last year so only 6 weeks away
