I have been following the DAX 2018 buy back`s of some big established companies, this resulted in an average increase in share prices of 12%.
On the DAX, the buy back is limited to 10% of the total shares issued.
I do not know what the regulations are on the ASX.
It is certainly not the means to achieve flying SP.
The bought back shares for example could be held and used to issue to supposed investors or take these shares out of trading completely to lower the amount of shares issued.
