Why would anyone ever buy this thing? Its performance over every investing horizon has been horrendous, and even at its November 2023 lows - before they starting buying back stock super aggressively with no explanation - it was only at a 23% discount to NTA disregarding the tax loss "asset". Why wouldn't you instead have invested in some of the other LICs that trade at similar discounts but have historical investing performances or other characteristics that make them a lot more attractive? And at the current discount, damn, for mine it's the strongest sell on ASX.

I can only guess many do not read the fine print on the NTA about including the deferred tax asset. That might be one goal achieved from GC1 anyway.
