Agreed: the price has risen too quickly over last 5 trading days for Humm to be allowed to buy (until today), per Listing Rule 7.33. Last BB notice was 20/12 re shares bought on 19 /12 and that said highest price allowed then was 44.6c. Since then, individual daily vwaps have been 47.5, 47.0, 47.6, 49.9, 50.8 cents. (My calcs based on Bell Potter info- don’t know if that excludes any crossings).
Last 5 trading days before today had (weighted) vwap 48.6c. ASX LR 7.33 says HUM could buy back at up to 5% above this today, ie 51.0c limit. It will be interesting to see if they choose to buy back today (29/12) at 51c or under, since this is the first day when they can.
