Yes I am a little optimistic from here.
ICI had a vested interest in the share price remaining low prior to completion of the buy back. Now it has an interest in the value increasing.
Perhaps some encouraging press releases in the next few weeks could have the effect of raising the share price in time for inclusion in the end of financial figures?
