I think people need to look more at the total picture here instead of the shocking state of the day-to-day share price. There is a long-term plan in place by management to conserve capital IMO.
Management is undertaking a buy back right now. It is clearly in the company's financial interests to want the share buyback done as low as possible. The easiest way to do that is limit the news flow, particularly leading up to and around tax sell time and buy up decent parcels at the share price lows in this period when the selling pressure is traditionally there.
Do not forget managements performance rights need 5c to get fully in the money. They are not deliberately stalling and keeping the share price low for any financial gain personally. IMO it appears they are doing this for the best interests of the company to soak up excess shares which will allow the share price to move more freely in the future.
I believe they will be aggressive in the final stages of the buy back and drive the share price much higher and closer to their performance rights. They will also ramp up the exploration program and increase gold related news flow at this same moment too IMO.
Right now, as of this current buy back announcement, we have approximately 63M shares bought back out of the proposed approx. 155M shares. We are starting to get close to halfway. Maybe that will be enough for management? Since the proposed buy-back ends 25/07/2025. Or maybe they will buy up a huge amount in the final month to get to the 155M target?
What we do know so far is that the highest paid was 0.9c (on 08/05/2024) and the lowest price paid was 0.7c (on 28/04/2025). Therefore, they have been careful with their timing leading into tax sell period IMO.
Those who believe management want to come out of this with a financial reward, will be wise in buying now IMO. Do not forget the $10M worth of shares we also have in TVN. That is a huge insurance policy and why I am not worried about the share price dropping more than this and therefore continue to buy up.
Also, the geology of the Tennant Creek region is about as good as it gets if you want to find a viable gold deposit IMO. Hence why so many companies are flocking to this area in recent years.
