I actually posted on the GRR forum at the time when I sold the majority of my GRR and bought FEX. At the time the pellet premium that GRR was receiving fell sharply following cessation of the Beijing Olympics Blue Sky Policy.
I was a bit lucky because at the time I was able to buy between 3 and 3.5 shares in MGX for every share I sold of GRR (which I posted on the GRR thread at the time).
There is even a thread titled "peer comparison" on the GRR forum.
I still have a small investment in GRR. If the long term goals of the new GRR CEO, Mr Weidong Wang, are achieved, then GRR will attract a lot of interest. The Savage River mine first gained notariety in 1967 for getting in the Guiness Book of Records for having the most crooked (slurry) pipeline in the world as well as the highest bridge (suspended slurry line).
Koolan also has had a share of the limelight when Queen Elizabeth II accompanied by the Duke of Edinburgh arrived at Koolan in HMY Britannia for a visit. This was a very significant visit as it enabled the then premier of WA to get in the ear of Queen Elizabeth (greatly adored by them pm Robert Menzies) who shortly after dropped a high grade iron ore trade embargo with Japan.
