    Well yeah... that's why I could buy all future cashflows + cash on hand at the current market cap by acquiring 100% of the shares on issue. The Market Cap is exactly that. It is a valuation put on the company by the free market taking into consideration the net assets position + any future cashflows adjusted for risk. It is in fact the market as a whole that suggests all future cashflows + cash on hand (+/- other assets/liabilities) = equals the market cap.
