Qn for my understanding:
Do share buybacks reduce the number of shares available on market, but dont reduce the total of shares issued on the register ?
ie: total shares dont change, therefore Market Cap doesnt change
the shares purchased by the company then go onto the balance sheet as an asset.
The company has the option to sell these shares back at a future date
