Outside the opening auction, the vast majority of yesterday's volume transacted at 0.40, and at most only traded 1 tick above that. It looks to me like they were putting a floor under it. If they can buy 1.9M shares at 0.40, no need to lift their bid.
But if the price were to rise strongly, that would definitely be putting a pump in the spokes of the buyback.
