It is ultimately SH that will benefit yes from a BB due to increased EPS from less shares. However this needs to be value accretive and not done at any SP (clearly management have a set BB maximum price). Months ago they were buying above 40c, now only touch the BB when below 40c.
This would have been observed by a few and potentially noted that the company only sees better ROC for BB (versus organic/inorganic growth) when SP is less than 40c. Thus some investors may be selling at prices above 40c if the company is not seen to value (buyback) shares at greater than 40c.
I have topped up some more at 39.5 and 39 yesterday. However will be holding for now to see what the next HY brings.
