So there's definitely no dispute about UBS heavily churning shares. What I don't have a clue about is their motivation and interested in other takes. I know it has been suggested that all their turnover was in a period of heavy share price decline which suggests they're losing money but don't care because their goal is SP suppression. Others roll their eyes at this kind of suggestion because they think it's all just the usual to and fro. I've got no idea personally and don't know how you profit from a declining share price other than by shorting. Otherwise to my limited understanding you have to sell for more than you bought. One thing we do know is UBS is bullish on Acadia so they can't think too poorly of Daybue. I can imagine though that with sophisticated algorithms you can sell down in one stock at a small loss in order to jump in on a different stock you see rising so the overall play is net positive despite losing in one. If this is happening on short time scales then it's too much for an individual to follow. No wonder I'm just sticking with my original long term fundamentals will win out approach.
