Probably due to daily buyback price limit.
Yesterday's buyback price limit was $13.11, NEU was trading above that price for most of the time.
Today's buyback price limit is $13.35, Tomorrow's buyback price limit would be around $13.60 if today's share price were just trading around $13.30.
I guess the $50m buyback could buy back up to 3.8 million shares, reducing total issued shares from current 127.8m to 124m (very small share registry), the open shorts of 4.1 million units, are definitely expected shorters to buy shares for short covering, that'll accelerate share price recovery.
