The price people are willing to accept can change very quickly. The reality of the situation is what the board recommends is most likely to prevail. If the BOD recommends against an offer at $25. $30, $50 (insert your preferred value here) then the SP will instantly trade very closely to that value. Those holders are then willing to sell on market and there will be new shareholders who will buy the shares purely on an arbitrage possibility or the chance of a superior bid.
My investment is significant to me but it isn't going to make any difference to the potential voting on a deal like IMO. People tend to go with the BOD recommendation and I don't think they would sell us short, otherwise they'd have licensed out NNZ-2591 or would have taken a take over offer pre-daybue for a relative pittance compared to where we are now. Eg: The posters who "would take $5 in a heat beat" when we were trading at $1. That could have been me, at the time too.
