I don't think it will see anywhere near $1000. I could mount an argument based on the pipeline and potential sales for that figure but I know its not going to happen.
To be fair, oOne person's screeching is another person's exasperation. Exasperation at the fact that:
1. The CEO has been very clear that Reata is a good value comparator for one indication, which would result in a SP of circa $80, yet people gleefully say they would accept less than half of this. The maddening part is that he didn't just stop at $80, he went out of his way to explicitly state that the Reata valuation was only for one indication and we many more options with 2591. Somehow, despite this clear guidance, and more recent comments about the valuation of 2591 to Trofinetide (which can be nicely equated to Reata), we still have many willing to sell themselves short - for god only knows what reason.
2. The SP was $25 less than a year ago and was valued there before we had positive results in PHS and AMS, let alone provisional P3 approval for the PMS trial and more indications to hang your hat one. I am yet to hear a credible argument for how all of those extras are only worth an extra $5.
Call it screeching, call it cheerleading, call it whatever you want. I personally call it a desire to see my investment return fair value and I feel the need to share that with others from time to time to make sure we don't lose sight of fair value amongst lots of game playing.
For the record, I maintain my view that we will get taken for $15b USD, which is circa $170 per share. Call me crazy
