On a slow news day, I just got access to the broker data for last Thursday when that large block trade went through at lunchtime.
I was interested in this as the SP had some positive momentum in the previous couple of sessions and during the morning prior to this trade (BB?) and this large block trade seemed to stop that progress in its tracks - imo.
Turns out it was Evan & Partners and they were still a net buyer for the day and their total trading activity was quadruple that of second-placed UBS. Make of what you will.
