The answer would be obvious now, as it is currently a blackout period according to NEU’s trading policy. Why it stopped prior to Jan 1 though is uncertain, but you won’t get an answer for that from them other than the typical vague “we take into consideration many factors when deciding whether or not to implement a buyback of our securities”
