I agree, there does seem to be a concerted effort to keep pushing the price down. However, I'm wondering whether there also is a 'scraping effect' happening from some brokers on the buy side (thank you htae39 for the previous broker data and commentary). Brokers are never going to want to accumulate at a premium, but might not mind scraping off shares loosened by the shorting process, without having to do any work in the background.
Although there are still price drops happening, like 25c-35c today as I type, I do feel like there is more volume and pushback against the selling at the moment compared with a few months ago (where drops could amount to $1+ in a day) with little to no buying support.
Broker data will be interesting to keep an eye on week by week.
