The intention is to use capital that they have concluded will not be needed in future trails to bring value to shareholders. This value may not be visible at present but what it does short term is slow the shorting.
Long term in round numbers, let's say 5% soi is removed. Let's use 10b sale figure (example) as that gets thrown around a bit.
That's 500 million in extra value to shareholders from the 50m investment. Disallowed in a year or so. I'm happy with that.
Think long term and sale value for benifit of this sbb
