I think it is a matter sending a message to the shortest that you cannot dump the shares and manipulate the prices downward indefinitely. If you shorted at 14 and covered at 12 or 11.5 well done however expecting to short at 11.5 and cover at 10 or 9 may be unrealistic is the message may be being put out.
Obviously the company cannot purchase all shares sold daily and can’t keep up the SBB indefinitely. Ultimately the market forces will once again will decide the SP when the SBB stops.
Just my limited understanding of shorting or NEU’s SBB. No advice. DYOR.
