Having read that link you posted, even a market maker would expect to make a profit from their trades (though from the smallest of margins). The bit about 'acting orders on behalf of clients...' could they be asked to sell at a loss to ensure the share price stays low, and the client compensates them for their losses? Even then they would still be required act ethically and within the legal requirements, and manipulating shares in this manner surely isnt legal. If you can produce this type of evidence then i cant understand why the authorites that oversee the asx exhange can't?
